The updaed design, first released mid-2021, features a new reverse design for the first time since the 1986 introduction of the series. The new design features a close-up of a detailed American Bald Eagle, to represent the strength and beauty of this American classic. The design was created by U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program Designer Jennie Norris and sculpted by Mint Medallic Renata Gordon.
The MintDirect® Guarantee
APMEX uses a special machine to complete our MintDirect® tube sealing process. The mint tubes are placed on the conveyor leading into a special machine and the sealing process seals both ends of each tube with tamper-evident packaging. After the process is completed, the tube is then checked to ensure the quality of the packaging. The MintDirect® tubes are then stored safely in the vault until purchased by our customers. By using this process, Dave&Co can guarantee the coins you receive are in the same condition and packaging as they were when they left the United States Mint.
Note: The MintDirect® tube sealing process does not guarantee protection from spotting or tarnishing that normally occur in chemically active metals such as Gold and Silver.
